EN ISO 8655-1:2002 (Introduction) states:
ISO:8655 address the needs of:
- Suppliers, as a basis for quality control, including, where appropriate, the issuance of supplier’s declarations:
- Test houses and other bodies, as a basis for independent certification
- Users of their equipment, to enable routine checking of accuracy
- The tests specified should be carried out by a trained personnel.

ReplyDeleteIn earlier 50's one of the major challenges faced by the laboratories was transferring of ideal volumes of liquid, but later in 1958 the revolutionary invention of pipette was done by one of the German scientist named Heinrich Schnitger but this invention was having a lot of limitations.
